PROJECTS

Machine safeguarding can be far more complex than it may seem. It is not possible to simply "build" fences around a machine without proper technical criteria.

There are applicable Technical Standards that must be followed in the construction of safety guards, even for the simplest perimeter protections.

Depending on the hazard to be protected, as well as the distance and height of these hazards, the guards must comply with specific minimum height requirements, specific mesh openings, and in some cases, solid panel protection may be required.

A proper engineering design is necessary, even for basic solutions. If you are not familiar with Technical Standards, you may use ABNT NBR NM-ISO 13852 as a reference.
